There are so many reasons camping is amazing, but getting away from reality and doing some serious relaxing is arguably one of the greatest. But, camping with kids can sometimes be not so relaxing... and that's where Family Camping Weekends come into their own.
Imagine being able to sit back with your hubby or your Mum-besties while you're camping & actually relax without having to focus on (or worry about) entertaining your children? If you are a Camping Mum with little ones, this might sound a bit like a wet dream!

Enter, the Family Camping Weekend:
At least a dozen mums,
Sometimes with their partners (and sometimes not!), and
Their gorgeous kiddos
Camping together for a weekend.
And, here are 7 reasons why every Camping Mum who comes to our Family Camping Weekend walks away excited for the next one.
1. THE KIDS ARE ENTERTAINED
Get a huge group of kids together and they WILL make their own fun. Friendships are formed, imaginations run wild and then so do the kids... #adventureabounds. While you sit back beside the campfire, sipping on your Moët, chatting with your new-found friends and your kids are entertained by the other kids (overseen by the older kids!) you WILL relax.
2. THERE ARE ALWAYS HELPING HANDS
You arrive after dark, it's cold & wet, your kids *should* have been in bed hours ago... and you still have to set up. It's okay - we've got you! You WILL have a small army of Mums & Dads willing & able to help you set up your camp. That one time 10 people put up a 6" x 3" Gazebo in less than 2 minutes in the cold, wet, darkness of a Friday night is the thing of Club legend.
3. YOU CAN HAVE A BREAK
If your kids are driving you absolutely mental (because, it happens), there are lots of other Mums & Dads around who can see what's happening and, if you want them to, will step in to give you a break. Whether they take your kids' hand and lead them away to play, or they guide your child through a meltdown while you breathe... YOU can have a break.
4. YOUR WILL NEVER BE STUCK WITHOUT SOMETHING
The thing about group camping is that it seems like there is ALWAYS someone driving into the nearest shops. So anyone (usually a Dad!) who decides to make a trip to the nearest shops can be / is usually accompanied by a huge shopping list. Or, maybe you just forgot your mallet... you'll have every mum in earshot offering to lend you theirs as soon as ask to borrow one.
5. ADVENTURE AWAITS
Love 4WD'ing? Love Bushwalking? Love Birdwatching? Love Sightseeing? Different people enjoy different activities, and when you get a diverse group together there is always someone willing to organise and lead an adventure! And, if you want in to try something new or share your knowledge with the other families, #adventureawaits.
6. YOU ARE AMONG FRIENDS
As life changes, so too can your friendships. And, when you have kids... well, those relationships built over late nights in wine bars and Sunday brunch can really take a hit. Building new adult friendships can be tricky, but on our Family Camping Weekends we have all come together because we love camping, and that is the foundation for new and beautiful Mum-friendships.
7. THE KIDS ARE ENTERTAINED
Oh, wait, did I mention that already? Yeah, I did because it's hands-down the most wonderful part of our Family Camping Weekends because it means that Mums & Dads can enjoy themselves too! Because entertained kids are happy kids... and happy kids mean happy Mums... and happy Mums are what The Camping Mums Club is all about.
So, who is looking forward to the next Family Camping Weekend!? 🙋🏼 Happy Camping!
